slimvulcanrider You can't go wrong with the bike, or choosing this little humble forum as your support group. Read the Vulcan Verses, download the free service manual from my link, while you are at it, check out my scribd link for some cheap ideas to customize the VN for your son.

Get a Maintenance Free Battery, it is the best 60 bucks you will ever spend on the Vulcan.

New guy in DFW

Hello all,
I just purchased a '96 with low miles as a project for my son's second bike. He's moving up from an Eliminator 125. Big jump I know but he's ready to spend more time in the saddle and the little Eliminator just won't do. I had a '86 VN750 back in the early 90s', looking forward to getting this one going for him.
