Yeah it kinda pissed me off, 2 reasons: 1. They didn't mention/show the cagers that caused the wreck, and 2. They wrecked good bikes to sell insurance!! And to the guy that said ' They have allstate insurance so the bikes will be resurrected." I highly doubt those crashed bikes will ever be 'resurrected', the owner will probably get a check for about 60% of what the bike was worth, lol. And/Or the bike will be replaced by a different one, so truthfully, those bikes are on the way to the junkyard no matter what. What they need to do is show a truck or car, pulling out in front of a bike, and then like freeze frame/pause it, and have the guy say "Watch out you F^%& Cager!!" lol |

BlackOctober750 | I get what they are trying to say...a motorcycle doesnt crash alone, so they cover you and yer passenger if you are injured. if you cant face the fact that motorcycles crash then you may need to stop riding...and the crotch rocket that does the spin on its front wheel was pretty cool. it does make people say "what if that was YOU on that bike!?" but after many of my friends have gone down, we all still say "wow, what if that was ME!" |

I agree with many of you in that I hate the commercial on so many levels...... I don't understand their message.............. I hate seeing the bikes being wrecked............... And most of all, having loved one see fairly graphic crashes without the riders only makes them say."What if you were on that bike"......... |

Ron_G | They already drove off without realizing that anyone else was even on the road. |

bj31702 | I've seen the commercial several times. don't worry those bikes had allstate insurance and were resurected lol. Could it have been made less graphic (harming motorcycles) prolly. Did I find if offensive NOPE. When I saw a motorcycle sliding and flipping did it get my attention YES. |

My issue concerns posting news reports of bad/fatal motorcycle accidents where very little is to be learned from it other than that some one no one knows died. Again , this is the type of stuff "anti-motorcycle" groups would post, not something a pro-motorcycle forum should. I have always had a deep concern for the safety of our members and for all riders on the road. I have no problem discussing possible options a member might have used in their accident, to hopefully lessen the chances of it occouring again to them , or anyone else. But posting a report of some rider who crashed and died, with possible graphic photos included..... when no one reporting can offer any idea at all what exactly happened is a pointless waste of my time and offensive to me as a rider. WE all know motorcycles are very dangerous , we don't need graphic reports as some kind of constant reminder that we might get hurt or die....especially if they have no connection to this forum other than the fact they happened to a motorcyclist. As for the ad.... tossing motorcycles out of a moving truck to show them tumble about to sell insurance is just a terrible waste of the bikes concerned and explains further why companies that spend alot on expensive advertising charge more for their insurance. The "Scare tactic" used here is also offensive, much like the Michelan ad showing a baby in a car seat and saying more or less, if you love your child you will buy our tires. I hate being threatened by someone selling crap. Like the ad that lets you believe your wife and child will be killed , or worse, if you don't buy an home security system. So as said....... F*** Allstate , and members please refrain from doing the same type of scare tactic crap here. KM |

Lumpy1 | It offends me the way LibertyPilot explained. Everyone is discouraged on this site about discussing motorcycle accidents. That was one of the things that struck a nerve. Especially when your sitting there with your significant other and they get a sick feeling in their stomach.. That's why I hate that da*m commercial.. |
