Any thoughts one way or the other about dropping members who have not LOGGED IN in the past two years??
Did you consider the fact that you can read posts without logging on?I post a lot and I don't take it to serious after all it is a good site and members of this forum are like people in general. Some talk more than others and some only talk when the need to know something,or have something important to say. This is a good board the way it is.The membership requirements aren't that stringent and there are a few things that require logging on to view, and thats when some log on.As for kicking some one off,I find that to be a little harsh.Lighten up people ,this is not a contest and it is not about who participates the most.I think it is about a bunch of people who like bikes and reading about them and what others have done to theirs. It is not my life nor is it on the list of things that are most important to me,just a place to relax and enjoy what others say and think.I have learned a lot about people as well as motorcycles and I have been riding for 30+ years. Some of the advice on here is worth paying money for and some of it should be completely ignored. But it is all free.I could care less about how many members are active or not.It had never even crossed my mind until this thread took of in this direction.I wonder some times about people who just disappear and we never hear from again and if they are alright or need a hand, and have come to find out recently that some appear to have disappeared for questionable reasons. But it is what it is. A well moderated friendly place to hang out with friends.Let's leave it at that.

Yes, thanks to this site my bike runs GREAT!!

I would never have known the Grambo Trick or anything about ACCTs, Ignition fixes or Spline Lube. Plus several other things I will need to take care of.

I also agree with the Quality over quantity post!

8000+ members?

4985 = number of members never posted!!!!
3906 = number of over a year members and never posted
5391 = number of over a year members with less than 10 posts!!
0269 = number of members who have joined in the last year with more than 05 posts
0175 = number of members who have joined in the last year with more than 10 posts
0097 = number of members who have joined in the last year with more than 20 posts
0012 = number of members who have joined in the last year with more than 100 posts
0188 = number of members who have joined in the last 5 years with more than 100 posts

I wonder how many of the 8000+ have not logged in during the past year? What's the point of numbers if folk are not participating?
Yeah, you got that one right. Most people join a forum, then either never post, or post only a few times and disappear. But that is not just here. I belong to or have belonged to over 20 forums, and it has been that way on all of them. But this one does seem to have more posts than most. Does anybody know what the average daily post count is here? Jerry.
