|VN750Rider/Jerry||If you mean a 24 hour day, my longest ride was just over 1000 miles. I did it twice, both times on my 2002 Vulcan 750.|

My seat is quite comfortable even for long hauls. But I also normally bring a few towels that I'll sit on every other fillup (when I think about it that is. One portion with just seat, the next with the towels, etc) just so I can switch-out at each fuel stop. I forgot to do that on this day.
So even though the seat is quite comfortable, I discovered that a run this long is more than I want to do again without some alternate butt pads of some kind.

|Spockster||250 miles or so. Like Thorn, around 80 miles I'm on the back seat trying to stretch my legs. Thank heaven for 120 mile gas stops!|

|mmart||Last month a buddy and I left at 7am and came back mid afternoon, logged 225 miles, stopped only for gas and much needed mid morning cup of coffee. No specific destination, just a nice cruise through the pine barrens in NJ.|

All day, stopped to drink, piss, eat and put gas in the bike. Don't know the miles was just a round trip from my house to my house, about 19 hours of cruising New York State

110 in one go, 160 in one day with a break after 110 and after 135 miles.
I have aspirations to do an Iron Butt ride (1000 miles in one day) on this bike.
At a continuous 80+ mph with gas stops ever 100-110 miles, I can do it all in the daylight!
I would cross a timezone, buying myself an extra hour of daylight.
We'll see. With my MPG dropping to 37, I'd be hitting reserve at most stops.

|Thorn||Pittsburgh to DC, about 250 miles. It was as far as I'd want to go in one shot, and I spent half the trip sitting on the back seat despite having highway pegs, and the wind buffeting was pretty bad at high speeds on the highway, even seated normally. I'll need a bigger bike and a bigger windshield before I head out of town on two wheels again.|

For the Vulcan...About the same, St. Louis to Kentucky Lake, 269 miles. That was straight there.
Normally most of my rides on the Vulcan were around 100 miles out.
For the FJR, we went to Cherokee Lake Tennessee which is 561 miles there. We stopped somewhere along the way for the night however, so not sure which leg was longest. We did part of the Dragons Tail on return. Total mileage when we returned was about 1300.
Never saw the need to try and put 400-500 miles in one day. Won't ride at night, and never in a hurry to get anywhere. I understand why they call those long distance riders "Iron Butt", because you really need to have one to ride 500+ miles in one day.

Your longest ride?
So what was your longest one day ride in mileage on a Vn750?
I got home a half hour ago from a 498.8 miler. I didn't realize it was THAT close to 500 or I'd have gone around the block one time just to break the 500 barrier.
