|TR_Irish||I'm having the exact same problem. You're saying to take off the bracket that the cable attaches to and rotate the shaft, then reattach the bracket and cable?|

|Tattz||That worked perfectly, it all just seemed to drop into place, once I spun the shaft. Thanks much for the help!|

+1 to all of the above.. and I will throw in one more thing to check (but probably not it in this case).
check the clutch lever at the pivot point in the perch on the bars.. Mine got stiff and while it would pull normally, it would not return. I found that the bolt that goes thru the lever had seized on the LEVER. removal, clean, grease and all better now.

|ubertalldude||Shaft is loose but you should turn it fully counterclockwise (if looking at the bike from ABOVE, what I mean is the side of the shaft closest to the motor should be all the way forward) and then you can attach the clutch cable lever maybe 1-2 splines further than the halfway point so that the clutch cable is more tensioned.|

|Tattz||Yes, I keep looking at the manual and I'm stumped. Should my shaft be loose or should it have it's own tension, I can move it back and forth|
