Chris and Shim Well, I got the engine guard installed. What a pain in the a** !! But it's on. Now to figure out what clamp-on pegs to acquire and to replace the darned right side exhaust gasket because its now leaking.

Chris and Shim Just to close this thread out: I received my engine guard today (Thanks Goofin!) and it is made from 1" tubing. So now I can order some footpegs. Probably sometime next week I'll be removing the existing highway peg project, based on a Knifemaker design, and putting it up for sale. When I do I'll start a thread in the SELL section.

Chris and Shim Well, once it gets here I'll measure it and report here.

Spockster My guess is 7/8", but you can check using open-end wrenches.

Even a tape measure will show close enough, don't use the very end, but between the 1" and 2" marks.

Knifemaker I thought it was 1"... but I can't find anything that agrees with that.
