Thank you for listening and providing feedback and sharing where the idle should be set to. Will definitely look at the choke cable to see if it's working or not and replace it if not.

Thank you for taking time to listen to engine running and helping to identify what the rattling sound was. I'll try it again without the key chain and see if goes away. That would be awesome if that's all it was!

OleDirtyDoc If choke was sticking(read other post of his)the high idle would make sense

Spockster Doesn't sound too bad, in the other video I was thinking the same.

But either something is up with that choke sticking, or the idle is set way too high. Should be around 1050-1100 rpm, if the choke is off.

michiganteddybear the high pitched rattling is the keychain rattling on the handle bars... I get it every now and then, I move my keys, and it quits..

otherwise, it dont sound bad, idling kinda fast, but if the choke was on, its expected

Sound Of Engine Running
Hi,

Can someone please watch this video of the engine running and tell me if the engine sounds normal or if you hear any knocking or rattling?

Also, please pay special attention to the weird noise when the video pans up to the handlebars and brings the RPM and Speedometer gauges in to view. What is the high pitched rattling noise?
