Lungfishh I had a little bit of that going on also, though not quite so much. I just took the rear wheel off and cleaned everything out. There was some liquidy<---- word? grease floating around in there . I put it back together with just a little moly paste on the wheel splines. Now I will just watch to see if it happens anymore. It's an easy job.

michiganteddybear if the level in the final drive is proper, then the stuff comming 'out' is excess grease on the splines between the final drive and the rear wheel.

again, these are NOT the splines that tend to be dried out and rusting away, which are at the driveshaft end and the input to the final drive\

you can remove the rear wheel, and just basically wipe the excess grease off of everything. that will pretty much stop it

TeeKayDubs I've never touched it. I just checked it awhile ago to make sure it had enough and it did then just maybe a few weeks ago it started really getting slung out and i checked it again and it was fine.

michiganteddybear that almost looks like over lubing of the splines for the connection between rear wheel and final drive. These are NOT the ones that we have to check that are driveshaft to final drive splines.

the ones at the rear wheel take very little lube (grease). excess will get slung out like that when the heat goes up

kc2dgq Did you recently fill the rear with oil or did this suddenly start without you touching anything?
There is an overflow vent at the bottom of the outer case that it might be seeping from if you topped it off recently.

Final Drive Leaking Oil

Hello, my final drive began leaking very bad recently after the weather started to warm up. Is this an easy fix? How should I go about fixing this?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
