motorcycle super store,dennis kirk and motosports.com are all good places to shop and I don't know if ron ayers sells handle bars or not but look around online and you can find a lot of stuff on clearance with greatly reduced prices,I saved about 50 bucks on a rear tire,by looking around for a few days an hour or so a day.I will also tell you to got to a bike shop in your area and check out their dirt bike bars and hold them in your hands and when you find the ones that fit just right ,look at the part number and look them up online and get the specs on them.I know it sounds like a lot of trouble but you will know what fits you and can find them at a price that doesn't break the bank.To me handle bar fitment is one of the most important parts of making a bike feel right to you and remember to add about 1/2 inch to the pullback because the Vn has an unusual triple clamp that sets the bars back at least this much more than most bikes with standard risers,I hope this helps,Denny

anyplace else to look for 7/8'' bars similar to these? i really would like wider bars. 32'' if possible... JC Whitney seems to stop at 29''

I know you can, look at my profile and check out the bars on mine,they only have 3.5 rise, as best I remember,I just looked at the price on those ,that is ridiculous !!!JC Whitney has 7/8 daytona bend bars for around 25 bucks shipped,Check out their prices before you buy those

obviously i'd need them in 7/8'' but anyone replace their bars with anything similar? looks like stockers are 29'' end to end and these are 31'' but with less rise than the mini apes. these have 4.5'' rise and 5.75'' pullback. think i can get away with stock cables?
