rep139 well I did prior to recieving the new signals, but not since. they do work as flashers but still no running lights, i will try switching the wires when it gets back from getting a new back tire. also i had an accident last year that tore the tachometer off and some of it's wiring remains connected. could that be any part of the issue? i was planning on taking it off this week

shark88 Did you try switching the wires on the turn signals, if they are backwards they will not work. One of my project bikes didn't have matching wires so I had to switch the connections around a few times till I got it right.

Hope it wasn't the one with the potato. If you haven't seen it don't ask how he turns it into scalloped potatoes.

michiganteddybear when did I do a video? that would be news to me, not to mention my carb cleaning experience was nightmarish in the amount of cussing I did.

rep139 correct, they should come on with the cluster and license plate lights when the key is in the on position. so i couldn't get the bulb out of the front left housing (it was rusted in) so I ordered new housings for the whole left side. i did disconnect the bullet connectors on both the left front and rear and when i put the switch over it still buzzes. Not sure if that will give the same results but only other thing I could try. michiganteddybear, i think your you tube video helped me clean my carbs

michiganteddybear the front running lights are on a different circuit than the turns.

lets tackle the left side. pull both bulbs (front and rear) and what happens when you turn the switch to the left? if the relay that's buzzing (I am assuming its the flasher relay) buzzes again, there is a short in the left turn wiring. check at the neck, and under the seat, common problem locations.

rep139 yes i know, the running lights up front do not work but the right blinkers both front and rear do, the but the right front will only flash not stay on as running light, the left rear is not working at all the left front will come on solid when the left signal switch is toggled but no running lights, on the front. i only mentioned the left rear not working to find out if is because of that as when the i turn the switch left the relay buzzes but the right is fine

ifixf18s Just a little bit of info for you. Just the front lights double as running lights/blinkers. The back are just blinkers.
