Anyone try the cheepo jcwhitney shock?

They are under $90 a pair. Has anyone tried them? My vulcan is my beat up old commuter that I can park safely (chained to a lightpole)in a neighborhood where if you leave the gps in the car for 15 minutes the window is smashed and its gone. I hate to put money into it (no shiny expensive progressive 412s for me), looking like worthless crap is its best defense. The current stock shocks have a desirable light patina of rust, but they loose air pressure in 48 hours and are starting to leak a little oil thru the schraders.
