That sounds like a good plan - I never need much of an excuse for a beer!
Tell you what, i'll send you a private message nearer the time & we'll arrange something about meeting up. It's not quite a 9000 mile trip for me, it's nearer 4000 but that's still a fair distance. Firstly I have to drive from my place to London airport which is nearly 200 miles, then there's the flight from London to Washington DC which is nearly 8 hours, then finally there's the drive from DC to my buddy's place which is around 140 miles. By the time I arrive i've usually been awake around 24 hours & am ready to sleep forever! Remember coming over one year & getting caught up in heavy traffic due to an accident on interstate 70, was so tired I really worried about falling asleep in the car each time the traffic came to a stop! That would have been embarrasing to say the least!
Take care for now & speak soon.

Actually, Ernie, I put that into my cellphone calender awhile ago!
It looks like any easy ride down the turnpike, and with you traveling all the way across the big pond from England, I think I could manage a few miles (in comparison to what? over 9,000 miles for you) to meet up with ya and have a beer or two

Thanks for the replies guys - yeah plan to stick around on this site.
Hyperbuzzin - think I mentioned before, I am coming over to PA for 2 weeks on October 5th & am staying with a friend in Alum Bank, Bedford County which is around 120 miles east of Pittsburgh. Maybe we could arrange to meet up for a beer if you have time? Will remind you again nearer the time. I will have a rental car so it'd be no problem to drive over to you.
Take care for now & ride safe.

My VN's finally gone
Hi everyone. Well, after nearly 13 years & over 78,000 miles of happy (mostly) ownership I have finally decided to let my old VN750 go. I know it's not relevant to this forum but my new wheels are a BMW K1100LT. I still have my trusty old GS1000G also.
The main reason for this post is that I will stay as a member on this forum & be available to share my many experiences of riding & working on the VN750 with anyone who wants to know, or needs any help or advice in any way.
Who knows, another VN may come along in the future? Problem here in the UK is that they were no longer imported after 1995 so good ones are getting harder to find & also they were never that popular here when they were on sale which makes them even rarer.
Take care guys & ride safe!
