Re: Throttle Cable Problem

I picked up a used throttle control and cables off ebay, so I'll wait and see what kind of shape the cables are in, and possibly use those. Besides, I noticed the housing tab on mine is broken off, allowing it to rotate on the bar.

Re: Throttle Cable Problem

I'm not familar with Flanders site unless you are talking about Flanders levers.
RonAyers.com will probably be you best bet. Use the online fiche there and when you find the part in the diagram you can click on the part number to the left and it brings up their price
closing throttle cable
Part Number: 54012-0053
Description: CABLE-THROTTLE
Price: $21.54

Opening throttle cable
Part Number: 54012-0052
Description: CABLE-THROTTLE
Price: $21.54

Re: Throttle Cable Problem

Nevermind, Kaw's parts diagrams answered it... They are indeed different...

But now I've noticed Flanders' site lists them both as the same. What gives?

Throttle Cable Problem

I noticed my throttle didn't return smoothly, and I decided to tear into it today. I found that the return cable was broken, causing it to hang up when opened. (removing the broken inner part from the top made it much better) I've been looking online for cables, but it seems listings only mention one. Are they both the same part? They look quite similar, and seem to be the same length.
