Swop the front and rear coils and see if the fault moves, they seem to foul the plugs real easy, I had an issue with the choke sticking, only ran a few mins and fouled them, plugs on eBay from comber NGK for £9.80 free post, is your battery tiptop and have you been near the pickups? Just a thought Gaz, take care and hopefully you'll be out soon on it mate

Hi Gaz, how's things with you? I had my Vn out for the first time tonight about 6pm since the rebuild, nice smell of burning paint! Lol! Seems to be running sweet with one exception, I was tramping on a bit (80mph) along the last part of the Marshallstown road ( berfore it meets the Belltoy Rd) and it died out, it started with the choke on and took me to the Belltoy, so as not to foul the plugs I free wheeled down to the larne road, it restarted and took me home! I'm hoping it's the carb vent tube that pushes into the back of the right ear, I may try cutting the tube at a 45 det angle so it cant get closed where it pushes into! Rides fine at sensible speeds, I'm quite surprised at the turn of speed it puts out!
