Thanks for the info on the rain gear. I will look into it after I get back from Wildwood.

    Mike,
Sorry for the delay. I haven't been here for a little while.
Yes, it is still for sale. I just listed it on craigslist a couple of hours ago. Are you close to Southeastern MA? If you want to set up a time to see it, shoot me an email and we'll do it.

    Mike,

I am looking forward to meeting again. I appreciaate the added delivery service to East Brunswick. Let me know how things work out on the bike you have a bid on.

I was reading several posts and saw you may have parts available in NJ for a Vulcan 750. Are they still available or have you decided to put it all back together again? Also, I knew a Mike DeAngelo in NJ many years ago from a Drum Corps. and was wondering if you are a NJ resident. I read that you had done some home powder coating and I am interested in how the project worked out as I am interested in doing some myself. I was looking at a small system recently and it looked too easy for the results they claimed. It seems to answer some of the problems with chrome upkeep and the look is great if done correctly. I am just not sure if this is a true possible home shop project.

I am looking forward to hearing from you on the questions. I recently bought a 2000 Vulcan 750 and got into riding this September and am trying to personalize my bike a little at a time. I have a few winter projects pending and your information on the powder coating would really help.

    Thanks,
    Vulcan2000

    Hi Cynthia,
I'm willing to drive up to you if you will pay for the gas. What's your address and I'l Google map it.
There are no teaching jobs in NJ right now. More teachers may lose their jobs soon. Thank you so much for checking out DE for me. You are the best!

Hi, there! Send pics to [email protected]. I'd definitely be interested - just a matter of getting myself to Joisey.

Have you been able to find a teaching job yet? I did email my friend who was with the DE school system, and she didn't sound terribly hopeful. I guess, like all states, they've been having a lot of cuts in the education budget as well. She basically said go through the usual channels and "good luck."

Hey, Mike! An engine with <9K miles? Just about anyone would want that! Shoot, post your price on the Forum and I'm sure it'll be gone in no time. Ditto on the rest of the bike - folks appear to be jumping all over part-outs. Hmmm...I could probably use a few things myself. Hmmm.....

That looks better - mtd076 seemed completely unfamiliar to me! I've taken stuff apart that I probably should have left alone, too; but invariably someone here has been able to get me back on track. I know I pulled apart a starter button a couple of years ago - actually, I hit a point with removing a screw and the unit flew apart - and fergy, I think, pulled one apart just so he could see it, take pics, and help me fix mine. So I figure worst case scenario, take a pic of all the miscellaneous parts that you think belong together, and someone on the Forum is bound to be able to help you out.

If you get a hankering to get your bike back together, let me know what you might need. I've got gobs of stuff in the garage that I am trying to keep moving along. After Orleans became an organ donor, another forum member dropped off his bike at my house 'for a couple of days' until he could come pick it up. which wasn't happening. My partner was furious, his wife didn't know he was planning to rebuild the thing (until I called and said, "Angie, can you tell Brad to come get his bike outta my yard?")...finally I offered him $300 for it, period. The engine needed a ton of work, he'd blown out the cooling system, etc. So I was able to sell a lot of stuff off of The Guest, but still have a few major bits sitting around. I always figure this'll be my back-up career when anthropology goes really bad. lol
