Nope,it's just a straight square. The hollow screw bolt screws it up into place and holds it there.

back on 7/17/14 under speedometer doesn't work post you wrote 'The cable can break inside the jacket, the square end at the speedometer can be stripped too much to engage the gears, or enough to slip and give you wrong readings.' I had my cable come off and didn't notice it until I parked but the forked part which was dragging seemed to be ok. The cable came out of the jacket and the end that goes into the speedometer just looked like the end of the cable-was it suppose to be attached to something? or is it suppose to be straight? Then are these replaceable? Thanks for any help you can be, hope you still check this site from time to time.

I got viking bags and they came with all the hardware. You just have to be carefule cutting out the whole in the bag for the mounting hardware. It's bolted onto the bike so it's not easy on or off and you have to remove the seat and unlace as well. I really like the bags but sometimes I want to ride without them ya know.

I liked you bike with bags that didn't require relocating the turn siginals ! You mention it was a pain getting them mounted. What hoops did you have to jump through? Did you use mounting hardware and or supports? What make and model / size bags did you use?
