This is timely for me since I recently got some 3/8" and 1/4" aluminum to make floorboards. Haven't decided which to use. Question: It appears your stock pads have an uneven bottom surface. Did you shave the pad or cut out the boards to accommodate the raised surfaces? As, I think, OlHoss mentioned, I plan to add heel guards to keep my boots off the pipes.

I'm keepin' all the left over parts. I'm gonna use 'em to build another bike!
