About the tank... I've had a couple people tell me to pull it drain it and fill it with water and stick it in the freezer for a couple days and the expanding water will push out the dent. Some claim to have done it successfully. My concerns would be the fuel gauge float and the small breather line that runs inside the tank. Anybody ever tried doing this? I may try it and plan on replacing the tank if the worst happens.
I did this on an old Honda XL 350 (1978) tank...the dent was about the same size as yours... the freezing water ruptured the seams of the tank...not a great idea
