GPS Question-Garmin Nuvi 200 vs 500 ??

I have been using the Garmin Nuvi 200 since last year mounted to the gas tank on my bike with the suction cup and a safety lanyard that latches under the gas cap, and all has been well since I glued the dash mount disc to the tank, the suction cup did released a time or two from shake before I mounted the disc...
OK, I am thinking I may just assign the Nuvi 200 to the cage and get the Nuvi 500 for the cycle, if what I believe is true... First the 200 takes me on roads that I don't want to go, the 500 has Routes that as I understand it you can pre set up to 10... Next the battery life looks to be a bit longer on the 500 8hrs vs 5hrs, next the 500 is water proof or I guess resistant would be a better word... One worry is the 500 weighs a couple of ounces more than the 200 and I am wondering if that would be a problem with the suction cup shaking loose...The Nuvi 500 can be had for +/-$300...
As far as bluetooth and that sort of stuff, I am not concerned...I do well to do the simple stuff......
What do y'all think...??? What is your opinion please...???
Thanks and have a good one...Old Dog...
