Thumbs up '86 Restomod (It's a cafe racer don't hate)

The full write up with 70 pictures: VN750 Restomod - Album on Imgur

Holy **** guys. I finally got the time to gather everything and post it online. I bought it in October last year with 4,000 miles on it for $850 as my first bike. I first wanted to fix it up and get it rideable so I can keep going until winter. But I really just started getting into it and decided to tear it down, fix it up right, then ride it. So that's been my life for the past few months. I'm glad in a sick twisted way that I did it though. I only had a limited mechanical knowledge, and doing this really taught me a lot about this bike and motorcycles in general. She's still a little bit away from being done though. Got a new radiator on order to fix that steaming issue, gotta bleed the brakes, tidy up some stuff, paint the rear fender, then register and insure it.

It's been a trip.

I saw that! I'd buy one if I was doing a different style, it would clutter up the front too much.

That's OK...wasn't trying to sell you a dash, just showing that we both painted our gauges black
