Barn find VN750

Found an '88 Vn750 today in storage with highway bars, extended backrest, only 8k miles, and comes with a spare set of brand new carbs. Knock the dust off and do the maintenance and I think we have a winner. It's being delivered tomorrow.

Ears and side plates are in a box next to it, it's complete and very little rust at all. Hell I put 15k miles a year on my bike, 8k is pretty much new to me.

$550 bucks. I figure the new set of carbs in the box and the highway bars and extended backrest are worth that.

We're home! Can't wait to put my saddlebags on it and ride. Everything on this 88 with 8k is like brand new compared to my 05 with 40k on it..... and my 05 is in stellar shape. It's really a peach. I can't wait to ride tonight. The red fender striping front and back matching the tank is eye catching and The tank writing is unlike any other emblems on the other years of vulcan so I like it being unique. I didn't think it was factory until I looked it up.

I love fresh chrome and silver metal. The aged brown twinge to something that has miles on it compared to something fresh and new is totally different in tone and hue. Like I say my 05 is a total peach, but you cant erase miles. This 88 is just fresh as a daisy.

The handlebars are slightly different in the 88 I notice... they are more comfortable. There are slight changes to them. I haven't looked them over yet, just got home, but I can see a difference and feel it as well.

The crash bar / highway bar is a nice upgrade and the seat is gonna be well used by my old lady.

I have a spare set of BRAND new carbs I just put on it when it got here, the set with only 8k on it looks minty as you'd expect with such low miles. $150 shipped if you know anyone that needs them.
