exhaust

One of the little things I've had to deal with from the previous owner is the exhaust. Bike had a good sound to it when I picked it up but I could hear the exhaust leaking bad. After I finally had the time to look in to it, I found they had removed the goat and punched out the baffles. The work on the goat was not good to put it nicely. A plate welded in place. Actually tack welded in to place. On the right side, the pipe had been cut for some reason just before the bend. the left side was fine other than where the goat was removed. While fishin on ebay I came across some sportster mufflers, $.99 no reserve. I put a $15 max bid in and actually won a couple days later for $10.49 plus $12 shipping. got them put on Monday with some flex pipe on the right and just an adapter piece on the left. will be wrapping the pipes this weekend. I may extend them out later on but for now they're fine. the sound is great. not too loud for now. definitely recommend them to anyone wanting a little more volume for not too much money.

So, you're one of those people who bid early which drives the price up and scares everyone off. You must be doing something right if you got it for that price. Maybe I should start doing what you're doing.

Next auction I see, I'll put down $3. Boom. Beat that guys. Scare off all the dollar shopper.

Don't take my word for it. I'm just a foolish newbie.

Mr. Fancy pants over here. Damn you. Yet another auction lost. Wait, let's see if I can scrounge up two more pennies from my sofa.
