My next project * with updates

Picked it up last night. 94 with approx 14,000 miles. The guy thinks it has a bad stator. Bike hasn't run in at least 2 years. We put a charger on it and it does crank over. He even had a new stator & gasket to go with it, along with a windscreen and a set of thow over saddle bags. All for $600.

Finally got it running tonight! Hooked it up to a car battery. So hopefully I can do some output tests on the stator this week. Maybe I'll get lucky and it will just be the R/R, doubt it though. I don't usually get that lucky.

It may not be fully fixed but it's always a good feeling to get a project bike running again. That way you at least get an idea of the condition that it's in. It sucks when you've done all you can think of and it still won't run.

OK, Started up again tonight and tested the lead's from the Stator. My AC output cross checking all 3 leads was 43 across the board, so now I'm thinking the R/R might be the problem.
Also had no continuity between each leg to the Engine casing. So that checked out.

Nice looking scoot you have there sharky.
The only things that are apparent to need attention are rings on the speedo and tach need a good polishing, and one missing mirror.

Could you take some close ups of the front fender decoration as well as the clutch cover, horns and little blue thing under the front of the tank?
