Rear Fender build

Alright, after bobbing the bike about 3 years ago I have finally wanted to have passengers and I'm a man on a budget. My so is now 7 and I want him to ride with me. So here's the build.

I needed to re enforce the fender so I can bolt struts to it and the holes not hollow out and the weight of a rider would t bend the fender. So I took it off and ensured it as built this support. I cut notches and bent it and then welded the notches. Tomorrow I'll be welding it to the fender and drilling holes. Then I'll need to make struts from 1/2" solid round stalk.

I just hope it holds up cuz it's a hard tail and a 125lb girl is what I need it to with stand. Initially it'll do great unjust hope down the road it still stands.
