900 seat on a 750

Just figured I'd post this question here rather than in the newbie section.

I am looking to get a larger seat on my 750 and I found a 900 seat locally but it does not have the mounting post attached to the seat because the person that has it transferred it over to his new Mustang seat. Is this even a problem for what I want to do with it?

I got the seat, cheap! I like how much larger it seems to be! This is going to be perfect.

Now I must find a sissy bar that will fit so my girl will ride with me hahaha.

I could not actually find his post, I just browsed through the pics on his profile. I would love to read the post if anyone happens to know where it is at. I think he used some kind of Honda sissy bar or something but I'm not sure I have the tools to modify it like he did in order to get it to fit. It looks great in the pics though!

That is a backrest off of a Honda 1100 Shadow. Read under the pictures in the link in my sig below and it tells you everything that I did to make it work.
