Agreed... anyone know of any larger (5 gal. or so) that would fit with (relatively) few mods? Would love to get that extra range...

Nice work on your custom tanks BTW...

here are some pics of what I got done tonight.. may need to take a break from welding though.. hoping to get this done so I can get back to riding it need to think of a paint scheme for it though.. I'm thinking of at least a 3 colors for it deep metallic blue with purple flake then something slightly lighter than blue with silver flake then stripe it with a color??? with gold flake...need a third color... I'm open to any ideas to a color scheme...NO Black or Red tied of that and there is enough black on it already...frame, plastic trim pieces.. oh, the seat is being redone too going with a brown leather and not black.. here a pic of the seats to have an idea of that

Phillip, I thought you were going to wait until next fall before you modded the tank. If it works well for you I may have you do my spare tank. I'd love a few extra gallons.

I came across the tank while at the bone yard. couldn't pass it up for the price plus I liked it shape.. got bored one night and just started in on it next thing I know I had the bike apart and started making parts and doing mock-ups. should have it done in a reasonable amount of time. any ideas on a 3 color paint combination??

Colors aren't my thing but choose a underlying stripe under the added budge to accent the larger curve of the tank. Think of it as an underwire bra,,, emphase the lift.

got drunk last night on whisky soars and I think I know what I'm going to do for colors. What do you think of the Mountain Dew greens and silver like on there 12 pack boxes but shiny and with some flake in it, brown leather seats, black frame and plastic, stock chrome pieces??
