updated backrest for ultimate seats

I know this isn't a 750 Vulcan post, but after doing my sons backrest on his bike thought Id update the one on mine I hate so much.In my opinion corbin makes one nice drivers backrest, very clean very sturdy. I love the ultimate seat, mixed emotions about the drivers backrest, for a tall rider very uncomfortable with no settings for height but one, I even added another and it wasn't enough. No room for any more. Not to mention very flmsey, wife would grab it to get on being only 5 ft, it would fold over, wobbled in the recepticle as well. So I decided to make one a little taller, and shape it to my back and reuse the ultimate pad, only this time spacing the two mounting bolts out and welding a nut on the other side for the new bolts. {Backing plate is metal}. Went with 1/4 in stainless, etched an eagles head in the upper piece to match the receiver hitch, and added optional adjustments with better detents than the one line ultimate cut in the stock one. what do ya think, Hits me better in my back, And beings Im the only pilot for her, tilt adjustment isn't a requirement. can always reinstall the factory piece, but don't see that happening as uncomfortable as it was.

It dont have to be a Vulcan post to be in here bro...fabrication is fabrication, and like methods can always be adapted to other bikes....heck, my Vulcan is 1/2 Harley, lol...

Looks good. I just put a utopia backrest on mine. Adjust up down, forwards, back. Not cheap, but nice product.
