Fwd controls...

That solo seat I had is still available to get back....if I had fwd controls (6" or so), I could mod the bars then and make it work...I REALLY wanted to use that solo seat.....it's "me", ya know ?....
If anybody has a set of fwds, lemme know please...would probably end up being a trade though...I got guns, antiques, tools, etc....

I found these from a link here in the archives...

http://www.motorrad-burchard.de/page...ten%20kawasaki

Look awfully easy to make, and I have enough aluminum stock...theyre really just hiway pegs with a connector...

Looks like I got a winter project, lol...

Those are cool looking; however, they are not much cheaper than the Jardines. Those cost $640 w/o shipping. Jardines are about $800 w/o shipping. Coming from a foreign country, I doubt getting them shipped will be cheap.

I don't get why something so simple has to be so expensive. Especially when you gain maybe 2.5 inches of extra leg room. It's not like the VN750 is a specialty bike.

I only understand what I don't understand.

That picture gives me the clearest idea so far of what is involved in making a set of forward controls. Also looks eminently doable for an experienced DIYer. Go for it Wolfie! I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

How did I miss that photo???

I already have a template for the hiway peg mount so if you need help with the plates let me know.
This seems pretty easy to make Wolfie... Go for it!
