Long time, Hello again.

Hey there folks, its been a while sense I last logged on, being I have taken on other interesting ventures. Anyways I decided to finally dust off the old girl and get her running again. I havent riden it in about 3yrs to be honest, oh well. The motor out and sitting on the garage floor, fresh gaskets and paint and now ready to reinstall, oh what fun...LOL. One of my riding brothers and I are hoping to do some sick sh!t to it and make it into a bar hoping bobber of sorts. I have a vn1500 front end that I am going to see if I cant get it to bolt up, my brother is a good welder so we are thinking of hard tailing it (we'll see). I am also open to ideas, if there is someone here (Slim) that has a kicken idea I'm all ears.

Peace

Welcome back Bro. sorry to hear you haven't been riding, but glad to hear ya are around. I have a lot of cool ideas that I have been kicking around. I don't know what you have for tools, and funding.

One idea I have been kicking around is going with a hidden mono shock rear, stretched swing arm, and laced wheels. I am also kicking over HD Fatbbod Tanks morphed with the VN750 Tank Tunnel, that would also move the gauge panel onto the tank.

For the laced wheels on scribd

Hey there man, oooh dont get me wrong, I've been riding. Its in my blood through and through going on 30yrs. I've just moved on from the Vulcan is all. I moved and got settled in and looked across the garage and seen the vulcan sitting there all neglected, so I took pity and decided to play with her again. Yeah hit me up on the Laced idea, the mono shock idea of yours, well thats sumthin...LOL. I'd imaging it would have to be a really small shock to fit up underneath. Might as well go ground pounder IMO...LOL. Looken forward to talken atcha again Bro.

I am not trying to dissuade you from going "rigid" was just thoroughgoing another idea out there.

how are you going to tackle the rear swing arm on the hard tail? leave it in place and build a tail section around it, or remove it and make the tail section?

You must have seen Bucky's posts and pics on his hard tail build back from '08. Something very similar is what I have been envisioning.
