$20 Coupon @ Cycle Gear

FYI, I just got $20 off a front tire from Cycle Gear using this coupon code.
Shipping was also free!

Coupon code: CGHLDZ20

Coupon found at:
http://www.retailmenot.com/view/cyclegear.com

My purchase was for a Pirelli Night Dragon 100/90-19.
Once it arrives, I may recycle the coupon for the rear even thou I don't need it yet.

Hey Tim & others--Maybe we should start a coupons code thread, I just tossed one that I didn't think I would use, didn't think of others that could have used that code... It was for a percentage off at Motorcycle Super store...
What do y'all think----"Coupons Code Thread"----

PS-I looked and found I had cut the ticket off the flyer before I trashed it, the coupon is good for 10% off any order value @ Motorcycle Superstore and expires 3-31-12... Coupon code is---AA5U2A24E2---

Just a thought... Or is there already a coupon/code, or such thread...???

I don't tend to spend $100 very often at Cycle Gear. I have one nearby, but I usually buy my stuff from Dennis Kirk (have been for over 30 years) I love their service, they never seem to mess up, they seem to have lower prices than Cycle Gear, they have a lot more stuff, and they have free shipping for orders over $100, plus because they are located out of state, there is no sales tax. We have 10% sales tax here, so that is $10 off a $100 right there.

I am a motorcyclist, NOT a biker.

FYII, I just ordered the rear Pirelli Night Dragon and recycled the $20 coupon for a total of $134.13 free shipping + CA tax.
Grand total for pair = $239.79

I was going to wait, but decided I'll enjoy the ride season much better with both tires mounted.

Hey Old Dog, thanks for the Superstore coupon code. I may use it before the month is up. Sharing these can sure help fuel our rides with regular @ about $4.39/galon around here.

I agree on the savings, and Motorcycle Superstore is about the same on pricing, I ordered a rear Michelin Cruisemax II 150/80/16 +/-$130 and got that sucker the next day and it was free shipping... About the only down side is that some shops charge less to mount if you buy the tire from them, and if there is a problem with a tire a shop can exchange it on spot, but on an ordered tire you have the hastle of shipping the tire back, so, if you can get a 10% better price + a 10% coupon and save 10% on tax it may be worth it....
TimV65--Wow already at $4.39, it's not that bad here yet but are usually a tiny bit below the national average... Glad I don't drive that much, I only average a bit under 4k per year on my PU... Now if my Ins. would just price accordingly...lol...

PS-Speaking of tires, has anyone ran the Michelin Commander II rear tire...??? I got one after the D404 Dunlop lasted only 2,400 Mi. and am going to see how it holds up...

Seems good so far but only +/-500 mi. on it so don't know much yet other than it feels good in the turns and has a smooth ride... Big difference in the tread pattern from the Dunlop... $129.99 delivered plus $22 for install, so $152 total, not bad at all I didn' think...

Old Dog I running a Michelin Commander II 170/80 right now. Had it on about 3 weeks now and just about 600 miles. So far handles nice. Had it on some wet roads after a rain, took it on a 350 mile trip, and now starting to run some back roads with some twisties. No complaints, now to see how the mileage stacks up against the MT66 I was running, but that might take a while. Got 18k out of the MT66, hoping for more with the Commander II.

18k, man I dream for that much on a front...lol... My rear Dunlop D404 should have been replaced before the 2,400 mi. if you went by what they say, but I rode it till it was as slick as a babies rear in the center...
Hey, and I don't do burn outs or doughnuts, that darn thing just went... I'll easily settle for 1/2 the 18k you got...

BTW-Ret. Col. Billy Stevens used to rebarrel my benchrest rifles, he lived in Brundridge but had been stationed at Ft. Rucker, and had been an Apache pilot...

Don't know the Col., retired CW4 Huey and Blackhawk guy myself.

I think getting lots miles from my rear might have a lot to do with is that I don't use down shifting and the engine for braking. I use brakes for braking, mostly the front. That alone will add thousands to your tires.
