I have an Uncle who's an Aussie. He lives in Adelaide, but he doesn't ride I think he did ride about 50 years ago.

I have been thinking lately about taking a couple week long vacation and renting a bike. My first idea was heading down there to give him a visit, and ride somewhere totally different.
But the more I thought about it, I might end up renting a 600/650 dualsport and check out either the Grand Canyon, or the route of the Baja race.
It's still mostly a thought, but it is going to be done (hopefully this year).

Thanks!

There is OzKaw. He's in Brisbane and visits here often.

And pwilliamjj (Peter) who's also in Brisbane. He's only posted twice, back in Jan of this year.
Then there's OutbackJack, not sure where he's from, but he only posted once, back in '06.

Not sure who else might be from down under.

Im an ex Brisbane chap myself, but moved back up to Darwin as its like the way the rest of Aus used to be 20 years ago, WE have unlimited speed limit on Highway in N.T and we dont have any demerit system , so you can only loose your licence if you are stupid enoegh to drink and ride, One day i would love to come over to USA and buy a VN750 and just ride all over the place . Well for as long as my visa would alow anyway LOL.

Mals, sounds like a great place to live. Isn't Darwin one of the last places to hold out against the cane toads? I have always dreamed of getting down under. I love the water, and wide open spaces.

If you ever do get to the US, let me know. I'll fire up the barby.

Enjoy that Vulcan, and keep her smile side up!
