I am in Oregon... My best friend Lives in a small town near Salem. We plan on doing a few coast trips next season Lord willing. When you get closer to the move, look me up. I have friends all over Utah, Idaho, Nevada, California, and even here in Oregon.

Well if you take the most direct route, you will be passing right through my stomping grounds. For sight Seeing, I would modify your route in Wyoming to go through Yellowstone, and maybe even up to Glacier National Park in Montana. Or you could modify your route to go south through Texas, then head up I-10 Through California, then take the Pacific coast Highway up the California and Oregon coasts.

The most Northern rout will take you about an hour north of me, the most direct rout will take you about an hour and a half south of me... I would do the middle route if time is of importance to you.. Take the 25 Through Colorado. Hit I80 In Wyoming, then take the 84 in Utah, Then take I5 down to Salem from Portland... one you get here or closer to coming, I will give you some roads to take to bypass the mess which is known as Portland. No need to go through that hell town if you don't need to (besides it will actually save you about three hours, even though its only saving you about 20 miles).
