Any Louisvillians?

Hey All,

Any other Louisville folks on the board?

An observation about Louisville drivers, for those who don't know: Of all the places I've lived, no drivers disregard SOLID red traffic lights like folks in Louisville. Be careful out there.

Hey Anth, I work in Louisville and live an hour southeast. I regularly commute on my VN750. I know what you mean by the disreguard for the red lights! LOL. That's why i usually ride the country twisty roads and stay out of populated cities for the most part.

I ride mostly in town. I commute to work 4 miles and have--no lie--13 traffic lights. That's one every less than 1/4 mile! Many times I'm stopped at an intersection and the light turns green, I'm not out of first gear and the next light is already yellow!

I have a coworker who is a distance rider. He's done the Iron Butt Rally and an Ultimate Coast to Coast. When he rides up from another state to our office for a few days he says the scariest part of his entire ride is the little trip going from the hotel to the office.

I try to take early Saturdays as my time to stretch my 'legs' and get in a longer ride.

Sundays I'm down about 30min past you, south of Leitchfield, but I take the car.
Whaddya do in L'ville? What part of town?
We should meet up for lunch sometime. PM me.

See ya!

Amen to that, my other option is the freeway death race for 36mi and 45min I'll take the back roads with only 7 miles of freeway and the 1hr ride to work thank you.

I saw a VN750 with a new-owner paper tag parked at a bar on Preston Hwy tonight. I looked at the VIN and it was a 1996. I didn't have a pen/paper to write the website, but I hope they do some research and find us.

Welcome new Vulcan rider....whoever you are.

I grew up a bit sw of y'all and have been to L'ville a few times and X3 on the red lights, but I gotta tell ya, riding here in Vegas gets hairy sometimes. Such a mishmash of people from all over, nobody drives the same (other than mostly bad...)

Try the Florida panhandle. I was riding up to a red light and began counting as I saw a car coming up behind me in the 2nd lane..... I made it to FIVE and he STILL RAN THROUGH IT!
