Not sure, but I think it is a bit SW of Ft. Payne AL... If it is I think I have been there, and it was a very good ride... I will post a pic or 2 and if I can find them, and ask phurp if that is it... Later...
PS-Well it's later, and all I could find were pics from Desoto St. park, but I am pretty sure we went on down thru Ft. Payne to Little River Canyon also, too long ago...lol... (CRS)..
Not sure but think this was taken at either Desoto or Little River Canyon park... Anyone know which...???

Old dog is exactly right. The canyon is in the northeast corner of Alabama near Fort Payne. The pic Dog posted is indeed at the canyon, one of several cool rock formations there. The canyon is supposed to be the deepest canyon in the eastern U.S.A. Great road to ride on and many more roads in that area that are equally good. Here are a few pics I took on a trip a few years ago.

Have fun on the trip! Wish I wasn't such a wuss but I don't have an Airhawk yet. I'd go for a weekend camping trip but I can't do a day job from Alabaster. AAMOF my next camping trip is to another canyon in that area - Buck's Pocket. Nice and quiet and you can't even tell it is there until you arrive.

The family and I took the VW 4 seater buggy over there last year and rode around the Canyon. Randy Owens of the group Alabama lives just a couple miles by the way the crow flies from it. Went by his house and he was coming out his gate and stopped to talk with us. Nice guy. Their song "Pass It On Down" talks about the Canyon in the 3rd verse.
