First Ride on Blue ridge Parkway -- VA

Hi all,
This past weekend had a great time riding my 95 VN 750 on the Blue ridge Parkway -- This was the first time I had driven it long distance since completing the bottom end replacement due to balancer gear shearing off of previous engine --

In the Process of the lower end replacement -- I replaced the balancer gear dampers -- replaced camshafts -- performed ear shave -- rejetted carbs and installed unifilter pod filters on carbs --

Engine is running fabulous -- I am riding it almost every day just because I can. Thank you so much everyone for your help and advice with my VN 750 -- I am glad that this site is here and the people here are so helpful.

Thanks again and I look forward to years of riding ahead of me.

WOW, the blues in pic #2 really live up to the name!!
Nice looking bike too. Is that seat a Mustang?
I have a hard time telling the different aftermarket exhaust systems apart in pics. Is yours V&H, Jardine or ??
What is your buddy riding? I`m not sure of bikes or cars anymore either, unless I can read the name on them.

RubyRick -- Mountains are beautiful.. It was an amazing day. Weather was perfect and views were awesome.

Olhoss -- Yes it is a mustang seat -- I also have Cobra Exhaust. Seat is amazingly comfortable. Had no problems keeping up with my buddy -- He is driving a 2000 Harley Davidson Dynaglyde 1500 -- It was his father in laws -- he died last year and left it to him. It has close to 90,000 Miles -- it was a daily driver for him. It was a difficult drive for my buddy because that was one of the trips the 2 of them did together every year.

Sorry to hear of your buddy's circumstance. His father-in-law would be pleased to see his daily ride being used by the one he chose to leave it to, especially on a commemorative ride like the one you took. I can see how special that ride must have been to the two of them.

Thanks for sharing the pics. I think I could see my house in one of them, or at least the mountain in front of it. I live at the foothills of the BRP in NC, and sometimes you take for granted the things that are familiar to you. I have a 94 model with 28K+ miles and the majority of them were from riding on the BRP from Roanoke, VA to the southern end near Cherokee, NC, and everywhere in between. Let me know when you're going to be that way again, maybe we could ride a few miles together. The bike looks great.
