Anyone for BRC this season (Chicago-area)

schedule:
http://www.outreach.niu.edu/mcycle/p...20Schedule.pdf

Feb 23 - registration opens for Fort Sheridan BRC
Feb 26 - registration opens for Gracelake BRC
Marc 5 - all locations ERC

http://www.outreach.niu.edu/mcycle/registration.shtml

i intend to take refresher BRC again since it will be 2 years since i taken mine and it definetly time for a refresher. some may say that it will be redundant and 95% of wasted time (and i might even agree with you). whatever. i'm sure it is not going to make things worst.

i intend to register either in Fort Sheridan or CLC -about 30 minutes from me (wheeling). registration at Elgin location opened today and already sold out till october. so i will be registering at 12:01 and 20 seconds AM of the day it opens at the desided location. i also plan on registering for ERC too.

if anyone wan't to join let me know so we can synchronise the dates. i think that to icrease chances of doing the session together we need to shoot for May.

I would say this is probably THE smartest move one can make to ensure he/she has a long, successful "career" as a motorcyclist.

Provided of course that you later actually apply and further practice the tactics/techniques/ideas that you learn there.

If you're an experienced rider already, I would personally recommend the ERC, over the BRC.

From what I experienced with the BRC, it's really more for brand new riders, or riders returning to motorcycling after a long absence.

In any case, I'm glad to see you folks stepping up to the plate to learn more and ride smarter.

We need more bikers like you!!!............

no need to imagine month in advance? huh! registration for Elgin (40 min-1 hour from chicago ) opened 12:01 AM and was 50% full at around 8:00AM today and at the moment is filled untill end of october. courses will get filled even faster the closer it gets to Chicago.

Here in PA, I believe you still need to register to be able to hope for a walk-in. But I'm not positive.
