Coolant Cover, Air Filter Covers, Radiator Cover
Chrome plastic for the coolant cover
Bikercom.com has all three of these from Spain. All are chrome and you are paying for UPS Red Express from Spain for a 2 day delivery time. Coolant Cover is $20.80, Air Filter Covers are 70.94 and the Radiator cover is 62.98 w/out the wire mesh. I have all 3 of these on my 97VN750 and they look great. Don't forget that these are prices before shipping. The shipping is very high but you get your stuff in 2 days from Spain. I guess this is a last resort if you can't get it on ebay and just "have to have it" like i did. Hope this helps. Flemdog/Flemstump
I just got back from a road trip and while I was gone I noticed I had fluid leaking from around my reservior, it was a small leak but it was noticable. My bike never overheated but when I got home I had lost about all of my coolant that was in there. I got my son to look underneath the bike because I couldn't see anything and he tells me it looks like it was leaking from the actuall tank and not the overflow hose. I take the tank off and sure enough there is a crack in the side of it about 1" long. It appears that when I put the chrome cover on the tank it forced the tank to actually make contact with the motor which caused it to get hot and melt the plastic tank. If you have one of the Highway Hawk covers you might want to make sure that the tank isn't making contact with the motor. I sealed the leak with some Goop sealant and put some high temp tape on that side of the reservoir and so far it seems to have fixed the leak.
