Torn Clutch Cable Covering

I too noticed my clutch cable cover cut open, exposing the inner metal casing by the same location others have mentioned. It is hitting the fork cross brackets when you turn the fork to the left. When you turn, the cable rubs against the fork cross bracket where the horns are mounted. I corrected the problem by taking a black wire tie wrap and wrapping the clutch cable to the frame where it just clears the top of the radiator cover. That solved the problem. Now I have to recover (reseal) the cable somehow. For now, electrical tape shall do.
