Not quite there but better.
After digging through the aluminium scraps at my Dad's house I found some 3/4" thick plate and turned it into this.Attachment 8546
They fill the space nicely, let my saddlebags hang better than before Attachment 8554
and will put the turn signals farther back so they won't interfear with the bags.
After I get the turn signals mounted I'll radius the edges a bit and polish them up.
