My First Street Bike :D

Hey guy's, I finally picked up my first street bike, it's an 88 750, has cobra exhaust (Love it) and some other minor aftermarket stuff.

I grew up riding dirtbike's around a farm and always wanted a street bike, I'll admit I intially wanted a sport bike but with me being 6'4+ 230...that wasn't happening and growing up with my dad owning everything from a Virago to his current S&S stroker Fat Boy, I went the cruiser route and very happy I did.

I'm pretty new to street bike's in general but I'm learning and loving every minute!

Anyway, very excited to be part of this forum and hope to learn and share lot's in the future.

And who say's younger guy's don't ride cruisers?

I'm 20 years old and have always been about cruisers! Sport bikes were just never quite my thing.

Welcome man!

I'm not really into newer sport bikes unless they are naked or fighters.I do like the mid to late 80's sport bikes though.

I'm also 20...never ridden a sport bike! I love the feel of cruisers. That isn't to say that I will never own a crotch rocket, but for now I'm quite content (read that "exuberantly happy") with my Vulcan.

Welcome to the jungle, you'll have lots of fun with this bike. It does have some glitches from time to time but with the knowledge provided here it isn't that bad to work on. My first bike was (i think an 89) yamaha Fj 1100. Sport bikes "look" very cool, but unless your trying to get from a to b in the shortest amount of time they are impractical, IMO. they are for attention seekers, as are some cruiser riders.
