first post and first street bike

hello everyone. just checking in from north missouri. i just bought a 86 vulcan 750 a couple days ago for $800 that i found on craigslist in iowa. seems to run good. i need to fix the horn(its not working) and a new back tire. this is my first street bike ever. was gonna buy a sportbike but at my age (40) i didnt want to be riding over a tank, so i got a cruiser. i still need to get my motorcycle license. but i cant wait to start ridin.

Welcome to the Vulcan madness from sunny southern Alberta.
If your stock horns are broken, consider putting some REAL horns on in place of the beep, beep Roadrunner horns that Ma Kaw considers adequate.

I put on a pair of Hi and Lo tone Fiaam Freeway Blasters mounted in the original position on the forks, powered with a relay and triggered by the stock horn wires. They look like standard shaped auto "rams horns", and sound like a big old Buick.

Mine are mounted identically to Baldy`s shown in this link:

Some like the Wolo Bad Boy air horn, or the identical Stebel Nautilus Compact.

In either case you will need a relay to operate the horns. It is easy to install. Just ask if you need help.
