Smile Back on a bike in Ireland.

I went for a ride today on my VN 750, what a joy riding in the countryside along the twisty roads, it had been the right decision to buy a bike, I bought the Vulcan in July. It has been over 25 yrs since Iíve owned a bike and 7 yrs since I rode one, so todays ride was quite an occasion and I loved every minute of it. Back home with my feet up and a drink in my hand I recalled this happy event back in 1987.

It was a dark rainy late afternoon when a motorcyclist stopped and asked a young lad are you OK, I was soaked and pushing a bicycle with a puncture down a country lane. I explained I had cycled to my mateís house borrowed his motorbike taken my motorcycle test and passed so I could now ride any size cc bike, and regardless of being soaked and getting a puncture on the way home I was over the moon, I had to repeat that story to another rider about 30 minutes later. That night the two bikers that passed me had both stopped to offer assistance, yet not one motorist had stopped, all they did was indicate, move out into the middle of the road and carry on their merry way. That day I learnt Bikers stop and offer help.
