Whats going on everyone

Hello from the land of south Jersey,
Thanks to some guy and his mid-life crisis I just picked up a 2005 vulcan with 800 miles on it, and it shines like the day it came off the show room floor.

His loss and my gain. I look forward to putting many many more miles on and if any of you are ever in South Jersey drop me a line and well go riding,

Where in South Jersey? There are several active members here in Jersey and we are always looking for another rider.

Welcome to the Vulcan madness from southern Alberta jj23.
Congrats on the great find of the bike.

Motoman has a controversial method for breaking in a new engine, but at 800 miles on your bike you may past the point to get maximum benifit from it.

Here is a link to him explaining why an engine should be broken in this way, rather than babying it like the factory directs, to get maximum power and maximum long life. smiley_th

It is a long read but if I ever buy a new vehicle, be it a cage or motorcycle, I would follow his directions for breaking it in.

Welcome to the group!

Another Joisey ride...yayyy!! We need to get a gander at that bike of yours....Vulcan 2000 is probably pretty close to you...at least closer than me, but we should try to plan a meet and greet ride one of these days.

Come up north and ride with me and a few others.....mountain roads, lakes, back country roads, and some of the best scenery you could imagine in Jersey.

It shore beats looking at beaches and bikinis all day....maybe not...lol
