Back in the saddle

Hello all. I haven't ridden in a lot of years. Family is grown now, so I got me a bike. 2005 VN750. I got on and it just felt right. I thought I might have to relearn how to ride all over, but it was like I always had a bike. Glad to be a part of this forum. What is a good aftermarket place for odds and ends parts, chrome and such.

Aftermarket? Good luck finding parts specific to our bikes.... its kind of a hard thing to do. Now you can always make something fit if you were so inclined. Check places like jp cycles, cheap cycle parts etc.

Based on what I've seen so far, if it's something that is a "universal" part, like mirrors or something, you can find those all over. If it is something specific you are looking for like forward controls, coolant reservoir covers, luggage racks, etc., often the best you can do is find one used on here, ebay or craigslist or buy one for another bike and modify it to work for yours. Or if you're handy/creative, make it yourself.

I have had good luck with Bike Bandit so far as finding older bike parts. E bay is a source as well.
