New to me 92 VN750

Just bought a 92 today for $200. The p.o. was fed up with electrical problems. He was the only owner of the bike since new, but last year started getting electrical problems - dead battery, power shutting off. He spent a small fortune at the dealer but the fixes they made didn't last long.

The bike has Jardine pipes but comes with the stock pipes. The bike is in excellent condition.

My first goal is to read up on the electrical problems with the bike and hopefully solve the problems.

Wow, best of luck with it. I'm sure you'll get the info you need from the forum here and end up with a decent bike for very short money. Peace,

Great price. I bet it has a fried stator and/or R/R.

Check the electrical section for the how-tos on diagnosing it. For $200 that is a steal, and you can definitely get the electrical sorted out fairly cheaply.
