Checkin' In

Hey there, Newbie here checkin' in. Just bought a 1994 Vulcan 750. I've noticed there's quite a following with the Vulcan around the world. At first, being a 1994 I wasn't sure if it would be worth the whole $1,400 investment but then I test drove it and I was hooked. The guy selling the bike flooded it before I showed up which had me a little worried but once we got it going, it was a beautiful thing. There's a little bit of rust to it but nothing that can't really be fixed. There's also some sun damage but mainly to the turn signals and tail lights. All in all a very nice bike with an opportunity to do some customizing. It's my first bike so I'm really just excited to start riding.

Here are some definite things to do that are somewhat specific to the VN750, no matter what you're doing with your bike...

-Lube drive shaft splines
-Change battery to AGM
-Change spark-plugs to Iridums (signature for model #)
-Change Automatic Cam Chain Tensioners to Manual ones made by TOC.
-Check your charging and electrical system thoroughly with a multimeter.

Search the forum for the relevant how to posts.
