Smile First post, First Bike

Hi all,

This is my first post here. I am a brand new rider about to pick up my first bike. My girlfriend got me a course to get my license last year and ever since I have been chomping at the bit to get a bike!

I'm choosing a VN750 because I love the look of the bike, my dad had one, and its affordable. It's apparent there is a lot of VN750 riders out there who love this bike and I can't wait to be one of them! I have my purchase narrowed down to an 04 or an 06. The main differences being that the 04 has less miles and is black/grey so I'm leaning towards it.

Finally, I'm pretty much sold on upgrading pipes and seat as soon as I get the bike. I'm thinking V&H Cruzers and a Mustang wide with back rest. Does anyone know where to find those items at a reasonable price?

Thank you and I look forward to making new friends here!

FYI a little more about me. I'm 26, male, and from Milwaukee WI.

EDIT: Here is the bike that I am highly considering http://www.cycletrader.com/listing/2...-750-101990026

I think you can still buy the pipes new thru Dennis Kirk, the seat is another matter, there are a couple for sale on here, wherever you find one it will likely sell for close to what a new one was priced at ,they have been discontinued for some time now.

Welcome BDS369!
I like your choice of colors! I have the 06, but wish I had the black/grey colors on mine.

Good luck with the new purchase and stay safe!
There is a LOT of good information here as well as a lot of good people willing to help when needed. Read the Verses section on maintenance and make sure you go over the bike completely when you get it to ensure you are safe and can enjoy the bike for years to come.

once again, Welcome to the group and the wonderful world of the VN750!
