new "old" rider with first Vulcan

Just bought a 92 vulcan yesterday after rouhgly a 10 year lay off. From all the readin in last week (research) it sounds like this is the website to read. Last bike 10 years ago was a CB750 witll full vetter setup. I do like the Open air vulcan alot better (mine has a small windshield). Bike is so perfect for a 5"10" guy I "fit " it so well. I'm going to have lots of questions in the days to come.

Welcome to the site.

I'm 6' 1" and I like the fit also.... Well.... I can ride for about an hour on the stock seat and then I need to stretch for 5 minutes. Adding the Wally World $20 waffle seat pad added maybe another 20 minutes to the ride before I need to stretch. Heck, most of the old timers I ride with need to stop and get a drink or pee every 45 minutes anyway (they never see the relationship) .

Welcome! Never short of opinions or advice here! Seriously, there are many knowledgeable folks eager to help.

I'm keepin' all the left over parts. I'm gonna use 'em to build another bike!

Welcome Clok this is the place and especially with this bike. If you think it's comfortable now consider a pair of floor boards, you may never want to get off the bike.

Good luck and ride safe.
