Talking Newbie through and through

Hello All!!

I recently became the owner of a 1986 VN750(CA model). I've been waiting to try to fire this thing up because the Evap Emiss. system is missing and I wasn't aware that I could bypass this entire system until reading a recent thread!! I d/l the free manual posted on here so I'm going to see if I can figure out how to get it fired up w/o that stupid emission crap. If anyone has any tips or suggestions that would be much appreciated. Also, if I'm going to bypass that system, what should I do about the 2 metal valves that are on the bottom end of the tank (under the seat)?

Check the Carbs and Fuel System forum for recent posts on this. I have done this to my bike, as have many others here. It looks complicated, but really isn't. Jerry.
