Hello from Pittsburgh

Hi guys (and Gals)

Checking in from the Pittsburgh area. I'm Very new to the site -just found it today- while running a Google search on reviews and research on the VN750.

Currently, I've been putting around on a Honda Rebel 250. While it's a fun bike, I need something bigger that can accommodate me on a longer ride.

At the moment, I'm looking at picking up an 05 model. the Dealer that's selling is it asking just under $4,000, and the bike has just under 13,000 miles on it. (obviously this bike was pretty well loved)

So what would the consensus on this be. Is this a fair price for this bike given it age and mileage?

So far I've only see the add on the dealer site and haven't gotten a chance to take a trip over there to see it first hand. Give what Information I've already read here, I plan on asking the dealer to inspect and lube the drive spline.
Any other advise while going in for this bike?

Welcome to the forum. A member from Florida recently sold his '06 with less than 3,000 miles for $3,500, so I'd say the dealer is a little high, especially this time of year where you're at. And his included the following:

Corbin seat $500
ProTac driver’s back rest $150
Vince & Hines Cruzers exhaust $340
Saddleman’s studded saddlebags $185
Kawasaki saddle bag supports with rear turn signals relocated to accommodate large saddle bags $145
Memphis Shades Windshield $140
Windshield storage pouch $25
K&N air filters (September 2009) $80
Deka maintenance free battery (September 2009) $70
Iridium spark plugs (September 2009) $30
Voltmeter $60
Stebel air horn (very loud!) $60
RR Relocated with Lance's relocation bracket $40
Mobil 1 Synthetic 4-T Motorcycle oil & Mobil 1 filter (at 1,900 miles—October 2009)) $60
Total Accessories/Maintenance=$1,880

I'm keepin' all the left over parts. I'm gonna use 'em to build another bike!
